   Proposal Description:
   Investigate variation in definition, description, and frequency of MCI and early AD across centers.  Compare MMSE, CDR for these groups among centers.  Primary Aim. Determine whether different ADRC centers rely on different criteria to  diagnosis subjects as normal, MCI, or probable AD  Supporting aims  1) Build a model to predict a diagnosis of normal, MCI, or probable AD subjects across  all centers, using neuropsychological tests, clinical symptoms, family history, functional  assessment, demographics, and co-morbidity as predictors. Assess a three-outcome  model fit via using predicted probabilities to calculate accuracy and weighted kappas.  2) Determine whether different ADRC centers rely on different criteria to diagnosis MCI  and dementia by addition to model of fixed effect indicator variables for all centers with  more than 200 records.  3) Assuming differences between centers are apparent, run the model developed in  Supporting Aim 1 for each center. Determine which predictors differ in importance  between centers. Use empirical Bayes techniques to adjust center-specific predictor  coefficients for multiple comparisons.
